The Crayon Box of Spring

Spring is in full swing here, with colors finally starting to emerge in once drab, grey wood lines.

When I was a child, my favorite colors in the crayon box were “Spring Green”, “Lemon Yellow” and other pastels that look like they should be on Easter eggs.

But Spring is also about deep “Maroon” on emerging roses….

Even “Burnt Orange” and “Raw Sienna” find a place in Spring through the young leaves of Coral Bells and unfurling Autumn Ferns…….

Brights like “Hot Magenta” and “Periwinkle” can’t be ignored!
