A good snapshot stops a moment from running away….Eudora Welty
Happy Mother’s Day!
Thanks so much!
Love that sweet pea in the rain! 🙂
I wish you could smell them! The variety is “Painted Lady”, it dates back to the late 1700s, it is one of my favorites!
I can almost smell your sweet pea… I love old fashioned varieties too x
Yep, I like the heirloom varieties too. I used to spend a small fortune on old seed varieties through the mail.
Over here right now the dominant colour is red: climbing roses, the same variety, on most of the fences around the apartment blocks. Oh, but there’s pink too: fantastic little clumps of dianthus which looked stunning yesterday in a light rain.
I love heirlooms, just something about knowing it has been grown for century or so! Nice mix of my two favorite things-history and gardening!
Sounds very green for a city, you should take some shots!
