Tropical Landscapes

It was so nice to have a change of scenery for a few days. I looked forward to taking pictures as much as relaxing! These were taken on Santa Rosa Island in Florida, hope you enjoy….

Oleander was everywhere, beautiful, but very toxic for pets and kids….

There were dozens of different varieties of palms, some large, some quite small….

I have always been a beach person, but this year I enjoyed it even more than usual. It was calm, the water was crystal clear, the sand white as sugar. Just thinking about it makes me relax….

These are my desperately-in-need-of-a-pedicure toes. Saltwater wreaks havoc on toenail polish, I was too relaxed to care :).

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

  1. I feel more relaxed just looking at your beautiful photos… we’ve had our first rain free day here and the sun has finally come out! My feet have been hidden by socks for ages so I won’t judge 🙂

  2. Glad you enjoyed your break. Although it’s practically in another universe geographically, your pictures remind me of coastal South-East Queensland. I once had the dubious pleasure of digging out a few old oleander shrubs that had turned into a tenacious tangle of roots and trunks. Truly horrible.
